Originally founded in Midland, Michigan in 1925, Fisher Companies was just a single-company operation on leased land in a gravel pit. We started work as a ready-mix concrete supplier and sand-and-gravel operation in our early years, providing materials to contracting services in the mid-Michigan area. After 22 years, Fisher Companies found its first official home on purchased land from the Dow Chemical Company. At this point Ralph Fisher’s three sons had taken over after World War II and saw a large potential for growth.
Less than 10 years later and continues today, Fisher companies continues to expand. With Ralph Fisher’s vision that a sand and gravel company should include concrete services, the company began to grow and hasn’t stopped. From concrete to transportation to aggregates to golf clubs, we have found areas of need across Michigan and filled them. Although we’ve grown, we continue to provide the highest quality of services to our customers. Because we started with just a family, we strive to provide family-friendly service and personalized customer service, with the benefits and capabilities of a large corporation.

Building materials – re-rod, corrugated tile, PVC pipe, expansion joints, concrete blocks and cones, floor sumps and crocks, visqueen, and marifi fabric.
Construction aggregates – Fisher Sand and Gravel offers various sands, crushed gravel and concrete, limestone, stones and boulders, drainage stone, and black dirt for construction projects.
